  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out with your questions regarding sitemaps and URL structures for your classified ads website, Kashaff.com.

To categorize your sitemap URLs according to a structured hierarchy, you can utilize the taxonomies available in Rank Math. By organizing your content into categories and tags, you can create a more organized sitemap that reflects the structure of your website.

Here are the steps to configure your sitemap in Rank Math:

    1. Categories Sitemap: You can include category archives in your sitemap to categorize your content effectively. Enable the Categories Sitemap in Rank Math and ensure that your posts are categorized correctly.

    Categories Sitemap Settings

    1. Tags Sitemap: Tags can also help in organizing your content. Enable the Tags Sitemap if you use tags to categorize your posts.

    1. Product Categories Sitemap: If you have product categories on your website, you can include them in the sitemap as well.

By configuring these settings in Rank Math, you can structure your sitemap URLs based on categories, tags, and product categories.

Regarding making URLs slug in Arabic, Rank Math supports multilingual SEO, including Arabic. You can create URLs with Arabic slugs by entering the desired slug in Arabic characters when creating or editing a post or page.

    Hi again
    Thanks for your reply.
However, I need to have categories and sub categories to show hierarchy. Is that possible?

As for the Arabic, I was able to use my arabic URLs but they are encoded. Can we keep them in arabic?

    Thanks

    Hello,

If you have created those as actual pages, then they won’t appear in the category sitemap.

However, you can customize your own sitemap by following this guide:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/custom-sitemaps/

The Arabic fonts change due to the character encoding in the browser.

The symbols you see in sitemaps are how browsers process non-Latin characters and will not affect your SEO. If you want to check that the symbols are giving the correct URL, you can use a tool like https://www.url-encode-decode.com/

This is done so all browsers and crawlers can understand your URL correctly, and there is nothing to worry about as the URLs will work fine.

    Looking forward to helping you.
