    Hello,

    This question is for https://lilbowlthai.com/

When I search in Google, ‘Lil Bowl’ or ‘Lil Bowl Thai’ the site title shows as ‘lil bowl logo’. This is incorrect.

Searches like: ‘Lil Bowl Manassas Park, VA’ the result is correct.

I have been trying to figure out what is causing the result to be ‘lil bowl logo’ but at a loss. Can you please help me to correct this?

Please let me know if you will need additional information.
    Thank you!

  • Hello Claire,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your concern about the site title displaying differently in Google search results for your website, lilbowlthai.com.

The issue you are experiencing where the site title shows as ‘lil bowl logo’ instead of ‘Lil Bowl’ or ‘Lil Bowl Thai’ can be due to various reasons. Google uses different signals to determine the title that will be shown to users in search results. It is possible that Google is dynamically changing the title based on the search terms used by searchers or other factors.

To address this issue, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Your Meta Title and Description: Ensure that the meta title and description set in your website’s source code are correct and reflect the desired title you want to appear in search results.

    2. Verify Schema Settings: Make sure that the schema settings in Rank Math for the post or page are correctly configured to display the SEO title and description you have set up.

    3. Review Google’s Guidelines: Understand that Google may choose alternative titles based on various factors, as mentioned in our knowledge base articles.

If after checking these aspects, the issue persists, please feel free to provide us with additional information or screenshots if needed. We are here to assist you further with resolving this issue.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

Please note that Google uses a machine learning algorithm to generate the sitename for your pages based on other information it has collected about your website and your industry.

I would suggest keeping mentioning the desired title on both the title of the page and the schema structure (which our plugin automatically adds after configuring the Local SEO settings in Rank Math > Titles & Meta).

Lastly, please go through the Google guidelines about the site name to help you increase the chances of displaying the desired site name on the SERP: https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/site-names

    Hope that helps.
