    Getting this error –

    We encountered an error while trying to access your Sitemap. Please ensure your Sitemap follows our guidelines and can be accessed at the location you provided and then resubmit.

    How to go about it?

    Asked about it on google webmaster forum and got this reply –

    That means the sitemap URL within the “overall” sitemap returned a 404 at the time when Google crawled. It seems to exist now, so I would just ignore it. Search Console presents mostly historic data, not live data, so things it flags are sometimes out of date.

    Sitemaps aren’t necessary for Google to crawl your site (though they make it easier) and mistakes in sitemaps have no effect on your ranking. So if your real concern is your ranking issue, you’ll need to look elsewhere; it won’t have been caused by this.

    The error is for accommodation type sitemap and warnings are for product sitemap. I have turned both accommodation and product off in settings but I still see them in sitemap. How to remove it from sitemap?

    You can refresh the entries on your sitemap by doing the following:

    1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

    Hit the save button once.

    That should fix the issue.

    If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.

    I have flushed the cache and the entries have now been removed.

    There is another issue now. When i do URL inspection in google webmaster tools, i get following error –
    Linked AMP version is valid with warnings
    It is eligible for some AMP-specific features in Google Search results, but is not fully compliant with AMP best practices

    Also, when i analyse site with ubersuggest.com, getting following error –
    1 issueswith no sitemap.xml to optimize interaction with bots

    I cannot replicate any AMP errors on the homepage, did you test a specific page? This is how this looks on my end:

    When I test the structured data, there’s no error as well:

    This could be related to your caching plugin.

    This tool is only checking for sitemap.xml but Rank Math does not use this file, it uses sitemap_index.xml

    So there is nothing wrong with the website? Cause site was ranking on 4-5th page for the keyword and it kept going down as i shifted to rankmath n its still down. Can you advice what i need to do? Have mentioned the keyword in sensitive data and homepage is scoring 80% for it
