  • Hello,

We apologize for the issue you are facing with connecting your WordPress website to Google Search Console using the Rank Math plugin. It sounds frustrating that the dropdown menu is empty despite your efforts.

To troubleshoot this issue, please ensure that you have followed these steps:

    1. Check Account Connection: Make sure that your Rank Math account is properly connected to your website. You can do this by navigating to WordPress Dashboard → Rank Math SEO → Dashboard → Help and checking the account status.
    2. Reconnect Your Account: If you suspect that the connection might be incorrect, you can disconnect and then reconnect your account. To disconnect, click on Disconnect Account in the same section mentioned above. After disconnecting, reconnect using the correct account.
      Disconnect Account
    3. Verify Permissions: Ensure that the Google account you are using has the necessary permissions to access the Google Search Console for your website.
    4. Check for Plugin Conflicts: Sometimes, other plugins can conflict with Rank Math. You may want to temporarily disable other plugins to see if that resolves the issue.

If you have tried all these steps and are still experiencing issues, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from the Rank Math Support team will take over and assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern! We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve it.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math support.

    Please follow these steps:

    1) Remove Rank Math’s access from Google Please remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

    permissions

    2) Re-connect to regenerate the auth token from Google

After that, reconnect the Google account again to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings again:

    reconnect

    3) Grant all necessary permissions

Kindly check all necessary checkboxes to allow Rank Math to access some of the Google Services. Please check my screenshot below for reference:

    permissions

    4) Follow the instructions to sign in with your Google account and allow Rank Math to access your data. https://rankmath.com/kb/connect-your-google-account/

You can also refer to this guide for more details: https://rankmath.com/kb/analytics-issues/#expired-google-oauth-token

We hope this resolves the issue for you. Looking forward to helping you.

I’m in the process of following your steps but I have noticed that when I get to the allowing access page it is only showing me 4 out of the 6 options that are on your screenshot. There is no checkbox for “Create a new Google Analytics account…” or “View your AdDense data”. Is that normal, and if not, how can I fix that?

    Hello,

That is normal, as you are using the Free version. Some permissions like Google Analytics account creation and AdSense are only required for the PRO version.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thank you, I think I fixed it. I was using a separate google account as my browser despite signing in to all the apps and software with the same different one. I just wanted to know if i would need to create a new gmail account for the search console every time I want to track a different website, for multiple clients for example, or if search console allows you to look at different websites on the same account. Sorry does that make sense?

    Hello,

In your same Google account, you can track multiple websites and verify them so you can consolidate all of those websites/properties into a single GSC dashboard.

You can follow the steps in this guide to verify them if you’re also using WordPress and Rank Math for your client sites:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/

    Looking forward to helping you.
