I’m having the same problem, (endlessly loading of the sitemap_index.xml page or 404 error) but now i found out that when i’m not logged in as admin (other computer) it works fine

Could you please clear your cache and do the following:
1. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks
Hit the save button once.
2. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings
Hit the save button once.
That should fix the issue.
If it doesn’t, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
It would also be recommended to exclude your sitemaps from caching to avoid such an issue in future.
