    when i enter my sitemap details, https://jobmulla.com/sitemap_index.xml it is showing me an error 404, thereby not allowing GSC not crawl and index it properly.
    also in the sitemap section of GSC I see the post-sitemap.xml with a different number and the sitemap_index.html with a different number.

    the sitemap_index.html last ran on 09-sept but I have been posting a lot of articles after that date.
    can you please help me fix this because when I search for the post URL in GSC it says it is not available

    URL not in property
    Inspect a URL in the currently selected property or switch properties

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Please do the following:

    1. If you have any caching enabled, please exclude all your sitemap URLs from being cached and clear your cache

    2. Head over to WordPress Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks

    Hit the save button once.

    3. Go to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Sitemap Settings and change link per sitemap to a different value different from the current.

    Hit the save button once.

    That should fix the issue. Check if the sitemap working fine in your browser. You can check that by going domain(.)com/sitemap_index.xml in a private browser to avoid browser cache.

    If the sitemap is working fine, you can try validating it on this link: https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/validate-xml-sitemap.html

    If the validation works, please head to your GSC and remove any submitted sitemap then resubmit only the main sitemap(sitemap_index.xml). Give it sometime to crawl and update

    If the issue persists, please do let us know so we can look at this further.
