Several H1 contacts in HOME

  • The plugin is counting the H1 as a title, but the correct one would be to count <H1 since my theme has several H1 that are not of the titles, but of CSS.
This was a response from my developer, is it correct?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

Not quite, Google and most other search engines focus on the H1 tag and this is where the plugin will look for the title and it is recommended to set your primary keywords. The plugin will skip h1’s that exist on text and CSS classes names and will not count them on the SEO analysis.

Let me know know if you have additional questions. Thank you.

    Any news?

    Thanks for the follow up.

Would you mind sharing some access to your site so that we can check how the CSS is affecting the page SEO score?

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

I’m sorry for the delay in answering, I had some problems here in the company and I had to resolve it first.

    Thanks for the access.

The class names assigned by your theme author are not standard practice which are affecting the seo score. I am passing this on to one of our developers so that they can advise further on this issue.

We appreciate your patience. Thank you.

Thank you for trying to help me the best way possible.

I wanted to add that your developer should not be using H1 for styling. It is not a good practice and it is frowned upon in SEO and the development world.

They can use CSS to style normal text as huge letters but using multiple H1s on a page is a bad practice.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hello friends,
I solved the problem in a simple way, I changed the theme. lol
    Thank you very much.

    HI Marcos,
