Service Snippet Rating Error

    Rank Math free

When I use ‘Service’ as a rich snippet. Fill up all values and put the shortcode in the content and click publish/update the page…it gives me the error saying “Please enter a valid value. The two nearest valid values are 4 and 5”

I want to put 4.7 but it doesn’t allow me to put the decimal values. However, your tip does show that I can put 4.7 but it doesn’t allow.

    What’s wrong here please!

    Hi Keyur,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Please stick to integers for now.

We will be introducing a dedimal system for the ratings in a future release.

With that said, decimal points are to be used only when aggregating multiple user ratings. It makes no sense that a single user would leave a decimal rating. Have you ever seen a 5-star rating field where end users can leave 1.5 stars out of 5? No.

Decimals are used for aggregating multiple ratings.

However, we will still be introducing it in the future because Rank Math is nothing if not fully customizable 🙂

    Thank you.
