    HI Guys,
Love your RankMath SEO Tool. I have a problem with it though. When I run SEO Analysis, it throws up a server error as displayed below. I have checked the file/directory permissions and they are set at 755. Can you assist me please? Thank you.
    David

“If you are the webmaster of this site please log in to Cpanel and check the Error Logs. You will find the exact reason for this error there.

Common reasons for this error are:

    Incorrect file/directory permissions: Above 755.
In order files to be processed by the webserver, their permissions have to be equal or below 755. You can update file permissions with a FTP client or through cPanel’s File Manager.

Incorrect Apache directives inside .htaccess file.
Make sure you have not specified unsupported directives inside the local .htaccess file. Such include PHP settings and Apache module settings.”

    HI Guys,

I don’t know why, but since I opened the support ticket above, the Server 500 Error has resolved itself. The SEO Analyser is now working again.

    Kind regards,
    David

    Hi again,

My mistake – The SEO Amalyser is still throwing up the same Server 500 error as originally reported.

    Please assist – thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hi Guys,

With the updated “Sensitive Data”, have you guys been able to address the “500” server error, please?

    Thank you again

    Cheers

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the follow up.

I am afraid that your WordFence security protocols have blocked our access.
Would you mind disabling this security feature for a few hours as we check this issue for you?

    Hey Guys,

What’s happening. I’m assuming you have access now – what have you discovered – the initial fault is still not resoved.

    Thanks

    Hi David,

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you.

I have logged in to your site and deleted the “rankmath_seo_analysis_results” option entry from your wp_option database table to clear outdated data and the SEO analysis is now working.

Please check this and let us know if we can offer additional help.

    Thank you.

    Hello Michael.

Thank you for getting back to me, and for your help with the 500 Server issues.

I just need to clarify one thing with you please – will this error occur again if I run the SEO Analyzer again?

    Hi David,

    Thanks for the follow up.

No this should not occur, I ran the SEO analysis a few times before logging out from your site. We have however come across isolated cases on some hosting environments causing the SEO analysis to break recurrently but the good news is that we are investigating and a solution will be available soon.

    Thank you.

    Hello Michael,

Thank you for getting back to me once again.

Unfortunately, the same issue has recurred. The first attempt to run SEO Analysis worked fine, The second attempt triggered the same 500 Server response. I guess I’ll wait to see a plugin update flow through and hope it contains a fix.

I am sorry this has happened. RankMath has the potential to be a truly great SEO tool.

    Kind regards,

    David.

    Hi David,

Thanks for the response. At the moment I can suggest that you make use of the workaround I outlined above.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. Thank you.
