Topic: SEO Woocommerce – Does Rankmath use the Elementor template in the frontend or the backend of the products to rank on search engines?

    Hello guys,

I am using the Rankmath plugin for SEO.

I looked in the backend of one of the products and the SEO plugin basically seems to take into account only the text of what is written in the backend of the product. Unfortunately, most information is in the frontend, where I cannot seem to find the typical SEO widget of rankmath for the product function (see screenshots).

    What do you suggest?
Just copy the text from the frontend into the backend?
Which text does the Rankmath plugin use to index, the one in the frontend or the backend?

Thank you so much for your help.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay and for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Since you’re using the Elementor template for your products, unfortunately, those will not be processed by the content analysis. Rank math can only analyze content added through the content editor and not through the template. In this case, Rank math is not able to access content added through your template.

You can choose to ignore the tests or change your product page to have the content added through the content editor, then Rank math can analyze and recommend accordingly.

Please stay advised that the content analysis are just guidelines, and one does not need to follow them religiously.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

Thank you so much for your help.

This lead me then to the following question:

If I put only the content in the frontend / Elementor template and leave the backend page empty, will my words still be recognized by Google in order to rank in search engines or will Google look only at the backend data and not the template data?

    Thanks again.

    Hello,

    Thank you for following up.

Yes, your content will still be recognized and ranked by Google. Though Rank Math cannot perform the content analysis test, Google will still analyze your website. The content will be indexed as long as you have the page/post listed within the sitemap.

You can still use Rank Math to configure your metadata like title, description, focus keywords, etc., and schema. You can safely ignore the test and scores if you believe you have already followed the guidelines and applied them in your page builder/template.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you need further assistance.

    Thank you so much.

    Everything is clear now.
