SEO score not consistent?

I haven’t gotten a response from my other ticket in nearly 3 days, so I’m writing another ticket. I recently switched from Yoast to Rank Math, but am having issues with the Rank Math analysis.

First, it conflicts with Max Mega Menu plugin. When that plugin is activated, Rank Math messes up my Meta description. Even though it’s set to %excerpt”, it doesn’t put the excerpt in the meta description. Instead, it enters text that’s a few paragraphs down further in my posts. As soon as I deactivate Max Mega Menu, the meta description is fine.

Second, I’m getting different SEO scores when I’m on the Gutenberg (Edit mode) page and Edit with Elementor page. Gutenberg page will say my paragraphs are to long, but then I go to Elementor screen and it says the paragraphs are fine. Gutenberg page will say I have a certain word count (example 1200 words), and Elementor page will be different and say I have 1000 words. There are all sorts of differences between the pages. I even deactivated EVERY plugin except Elementor and Rank Math, and it still happens.

Third, the link counters are wrong. One of my pages (Product Review Page) is very small. Hardly anything on it, yet Rank Math says I have 34 internal links and 60 external links. That page only has 2 sentences on it, and 2 links to 2 different posts!! It’s like Rank Math opens those posts and counts all the links on the posts and says the Product Review page has those links. I even installed a new theme to see if that helps, but it stays the same. I even deactivated all my plugins except Rank Math, and it still showed that.

    Help Please! 🙂

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I am sorry for you not having an answer before, I will make sure to check why that happened.

About your issues, let me go through them one by one:

    – Issue 1: I would need to check the website to try to determine the cause and if we finally find it is 100% Rank Math, I will be able to notify the devs to try to fix it.

    – Issue 2: If your site is using Elementor, it is normal to have different scores between the Gutenberg editor and the Elementor editor. It is due to the Elementor’ shortcodes are loaded when the Elementor editor is opened, so Rank Math is able to analyze the entire content. Once you are on Gutenberg, Rank Math is not able to read the Elementor shortcodes. So you should use the score in Elementor as the right score.

    – Issue 3: For that, I would also need to log in and check it. To do that, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
