    Rank Math free

Good evening. I would like to ask the following. When I search on google for a category that I have on my site,it displays it without the path. Just the domain. When I put next to the category the name of the site, s, it comes out as it should,in the search results; that is, with the path. How is this done? Also are the categories only read in woocommerce or only the pages and the categories of wordpress?
    Thank you in advance

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have caused you.

Could you also provide the affected URL for that category? Also, are you referring to the breadcrumbs or slug or the actual link? You can use this tool as well to share with us the missing category in the Google search results.

If you have set up a category in WooCommerce, it should also show on the Google search results page if it’s set as index.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hello,

Thank you for the follow up.

You have enabled breadcrumbs on your site which Google prioritizes and normally shows them in place of the URL in the SERPs.

To go back to showing your URL, you would have to disable breadcrumb schema on your site then give it sometime for Google to crawl and update.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Do i have to inactivate this?
    Thank you!

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back to us.

Yes, that’s the option you should disable to remove the breadcrumbs from your website.

After doing that give it a couple of days for Google to recrawl the website and see if the issue persists or not.

    Hope this helps.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you require any further assistance.

should i submit a new sitemap in google search console?

    Best Regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for keeping in touch with us.

Yes, that is an option too to make sure that Google will recrawl your updated website content. Clear your website cache, remove your current sitemap from your GSC and resubmit your sitemap index. Your sitemap index should look like this: https://mydomain.com/sitemap_index.xml

Give Google a couple of days or so to recrawl your website and see if the issue goes away.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Thanks a lot for your answers. I would like to ask something else. Is there a way to remove the date from here?

    Thank you!

    Hello,

Google extracts the post date from the post content and thus it is not possible for an SEO plugin to control this.

To be able to remove all the dates from the SERP result, you will need to get in touch with your theme author so that they can help to clear the PHP code that adds the post date on the template.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
