Search pages are indexed

    Rank Math free

Hi, i noticed that when switching from yoast to rankmath suddenly a lot of pages are indexed.
    Please see “sensitive data”
My question is how to avoid this – i think url`s should be set to “no index” in default, so i dont understand why they are not.

We switched to rank math from yoast seo and see a big decline of our rankings – so if those “slugs” are indexed by default – this is not good…

    Rank Math free

    Hello,

Thanks for getting in touch with us.

Search pages are already set to noindex by Rank Math by default. That setting can be found at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Misc. Pages. Paginated pages should be set to noindex on the same page too.

However, the links you shared in the sensitive data do not search result pages. They are just filtered product URLs using taxonomy.

You can check the robots settings for that at WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Titles & Meta > Taxonomies.

Choose noindex from robots meta option for the taxonomies you do not wish to have indexed.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
