    Rank Math free

I can’t connect my website to “search console”. I am connected for “Analytics” but the field for the search console is blank. I have tried reconnecting multiple times. It tells me that it does not have the permissions needed. I have removed permissions then accepted them all again and still nothing. I’ve tried everything that was suggested here and still no luck. If you could help me out I would appreciate it, thank you.

  • Hello,

I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing difficulties connecting your website to the Search Console in Rank Math despite trying multiple times. It seems like you have already followed the steps to remove and reconnect the permissions but are still encountering issues with the connection.

To resolve this, let’s try a few additional steps:

    1. Reconnect Your Google Account:

      • Navigate to Rank Math SEO → General Settings → Analytics.
      • Click the Reconnect link to disconnect and reconnect your Google Account with Rank Math as shown in the screenshot below:

    2. Test Connections:

      • After reconnecting, click on the Test Connections option located at the top right of the Analytics settings.
      • If the data fetch doesn’t happen, choose Update data Manually.

      click Test Connections

    3. Rebuild Index for Analytics:

      • Go to Database Tools and click on Rebuild Index for Analytics.

    4. Check Data Presence:

      • Finally, open the Analytics dashboard by navigating to Rank Math SEO → Analytics and verify if the data is present.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your patience.

For Search Console, please verify using the URL prefix and ensure that you have verified the correct version of your website on the Google Search Console (HTTP or HTTPS, www or non-www).

    Prefix

You can follow our guide here to create the URL Prefix property:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/google-site-verification/#num-1-1-open-google-search-console

The URL-prefix property also helps keep your sitemap in sync with Google Search Console as we submit it automatically for you. In addition, the domain property won’t work correctly on some sections of the Analytics module such as the IndexStatus.

    Hope that helps.

I checked all of that and I’m still getting this error message “Data import will not work for this service as sufficient permissions are not given.” I have allowed every permission it asked for but I still see this.

    Hello,

Please follow these steps to resolve the issue:

    1) Remove Rank Math’s access from Google Please remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions

After that, reconnect the Google account again to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings again:

    3) Grant all necessary permissions

Kindly check all necessary checkboxes to allow Rank Math to access some of the Google Services. Please check my screenshot below for reference:

Okay I tried all of this and still the Search Console Site field is empty. It still states that sufficient permissions are not given.

    Hello,

Before further troubleshooting, please ensure that you have verified your email/account as the owner of the property. Go to your Google Search Console > Settings > Users and permissions:

If the issue persists, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
