Search console error for canonical tag but url open with /? at the end

    Hi,
    I am facing an issue in the search console. Google detects that “123 Alternative page with proper canonical tag” upon checking the url in the search console it open with /? at the end. So it means google has detected duplicate url which is /? at the end. I want to remove /? from the url so google detects only one. So how can i do that. Is redirection is the option, and if its then how can i redirect the /? to the destination url

    Apologies for the delay as this ticket seems to have been stuck in our drafts section for some reason.

    Those URLs have appeared since their canonical are pointing to your homepage. You can also verify it in the page’s source code:
    view-source:https://simply.coach/?

    This means that Google recognizes these canonicalized URLs correctly, and there is nothing you need to do on your part:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/alternate-page-with-proper-canonical-tag/#num-1-what-does-alternate-page-with-proper-canonical-tag-mean

    You can use the URL Inspection tool of your GSC account to check the referring page and figure out from where Google is discovering those URLs:
    https://search.google.com/search-console/welcome?action=inspect
