Name and Headline property should not be the same in blogposting/Article Schema data.
I think Name Should be the <title> tag of the post, and Headline Should be the <H1> tag of the post, correct me if I am wrong. But rankmath showing same data in name and headline property. either <title> tag or <H1> in Both Place (Name and Headline)

  • Hello, thank you for reaching out with your question.

In the context of Schema Markup for blog posts or articles, the Name property typically corresponds to the title of the post, while the Headline property usually aligns with the H1 tag of the post.

Regarding your observation about Rank Math showing the same data in both the Name and Headline properties, this might be due to how Rank Math populates these fields by default. However, it’s recommended to have distinct and relevant information in these properties to provide accurate and detailed structured data to search engines.

To ensure that the Schema Markup accurately reflects the content of your post, you can manually adjust the Name and Headline properties in Rank Math’s Schema Builder. This way, you can customize and optimize the Schema data to better represent your content for search engines.

If you encounter any difficulties or need further assistance in configuring the Schema Markup for your blog posts or articles in Rank Math, feel free to provide more details or screenshots, and we’ll be happy to assist you further.

Thank you for raising this concern, and we’re here to help you optimize your Schema Markup for better search engine visibility.

rankbot said ” you can manually adjust the Name and Headline properties in Rank Math’s Schema Builder.” but if i try to change Headline properties from schema builder it aslo affects the name properties of schema so problem remains the same that is rankmath showing same data in name and headline property of schema. i think you should fix it from your side.

    Hello,

Thank you for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

By default, Rank Math shows the same value for both the name and title property in the article schema. To change this, you will have to enable the advanced schema builder which can only be accessed if you have the PRO plugin.

You can use this filter to programmatically modify the property instead:

    Looking forward to helping you.
