Same product’s URL being indexed multple times

    Hi,

    Since on previous post i was not able to edit and include sensitive data that you had asked for. I’m posting it again.

    I’m using WooComm. plugin. Recently submitted our site to Google using the sitemap generated by Rank Math (my bad, it was generated by Yoast). Google has started to index. But I’ve noticed some Product’s URL being indexed multiple times (i’ve seen upto 3 times so far)

    For instance:
    https://www. … .com/body-shaper-for-women?cur=tnd
    https://www. … .com/body-shaper-for-women?cur=bam

    FYI: Initially i had uninstalled Yoast without importing its settings on RankMath. But now i installed Yoast again, imported, cleaned Yoast data from RankMath and uninstalled Yoast again.

    So before i submit a new sitemap generated by RankMath, I want to make sure that the same issue won’t arise again?

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    Duplicate content should be covered automatically by having a canonical URL for your pages. Rank math will automatically add this fro your pages once you have set them to index. You can also modify this under the Advanced tab of Rank math metabox on individual pages. Please note that pages with modified/hard-coded canonical are considered to be duplicate and are therefore not added to the sitemap. Only pages whose canonical URL is automatically generated by Rank math are added to the sitemap.
