Rich Snippet for Recurring Events – Event Manager

    Hi

Thank You for creating such an amazing plugin.

I am using the Events Manager plugin to create recurring events. The RankMath SEO is available as expected on an individual event but not in the Recurring Event editor. Is there a way I can support the SEO in the recurring events? Ideally this would also use the location tag shortcuts also.

    Thank You,

    Matt

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I checked your sensitive data section and I could not locate the site’s URL, kindly add it to the information so that I may log in and have a closer look.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

So to give a little more explanation to this and how I have resolved it (using 3rd party plugin).

Using the Events Manager plugin allows you to create recurring events, this feature then creates individual events for each occurrence. For example you can set an event to occur every Monday at 7PM to 9PM for 1 year. This creates 52 events (1 per week for a year) with identical details except for the event time.

Rank Math Rich Snippet automatically populates the event headline and description of each individual event. Sadly it does not auto populate the address, start date/time or end date/time. This means that for the Rich Snippet to be complete you would have to open each of the 52 events and manually populate the fields before saving.

As a massive positive, Rank Math enables you to enter lots of extra detail such as Performer Name, Event Status, Ticket Information / Price / Status.

To enhance Rank Math I believe you would either need to be able to enter the details in the recurring event so it copies to each event instance (would require compatibility with event plugin) OR do what my solution (disable rank math event snippets and use Event Schema plugin) does and for each individual event auto populate the Rich Snippet details from the data already entered.

I hope that helps with improvements, my issue is resolved as such but feel free to get in touch if it would help you to improve.

Thanks for creating such a awesome plugin,

    Matt
