Hi, I want to add the Rich Pin feature to my Pinterest. All the instructions I found only show how to do it with Yoast SEO. How can I do it with Rankmath? I added the Pinterest profile in the Social Meta part, but nothing happened. My web is already verified by Pinterest.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

  • Hello, I’m sorry to hear that you’re facing issues with adding the Rich Pin feature to your Pinterest using Rank Math. To enable Rich Pins with Rank Math, you can use the Rich Pins Validator tool available in the plugin.

Here are the steps to use the Rich Pins Validator in Rank Math:

    1. Go to your WordPress admin dashboard.
    2. Navigate to Rank Math > Rich Pins Validator.
    3. Click on the “Validate” button to check if your website’s data is marked up and eligible for displaying Rich Pins.

If you’ve already added the Pinterest profile in the Social Meta part and your website is verified by Pinterest, using the Rich Pins Validator should help identify any issues and ensure that your website’s data is marked up correctly for Rich Pins.

If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team by clicking here.

    I hope this helps!

The Rich Pins Validator is only available on the PRO version. Is there any way that I can do with the free version?

    Hello,

Please note that Pinterest has already removed the Rich Pins validator tool:

However, Rank Math already adds the necessary metadata and schema for your posts automatically to be validated for Pinterest.

You can easily see that our plugin outputs the same data as Yoast SEO by enabling it on your website and seeing the source code of one of the products in your shop.

You’ll see the same exact markup for OpenGraph and specific product metadata.

    Hope that helps.

    Hi,

Thanks for replying. So where can I add rich meta tags to have the rich pin? I’m totally lost!

    Hello,

Our plugin automatically adds the OG tags from the Schema you add to the plugin. Our plugin doesn’t use Microdata; it uses JSON-LD format to add the Schema. You can add the preferred Schema and social sharing image in the Social tab of the meta box and the tags will be generated automatically.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi,

In the Social tab of the meta box, there’re only Facebook and Twitter. I still cannot add the Rich pin for Pinterest. I’m so stuck here! I asked Pinterest and they told me to ask the web host to place meta tags. When I mailed the web host, they told me to add meta tags on each recipe page. Do I have to do that? If yes, where do I need to add the meta tags?

    Thanks,

    Hello,

Pinterest uses the same meta tags that Facebook uses and those are called OpenGraph meta tags. All the information you add in the Facebook section of the Social tab will also be used for Pinterest.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
