Review schema is not valid: Thing is not a known target type for itemReviewed

    Hi,

    I am trying to use the Review Rich Snippet for book reviews on my blog. However, the schema is not valid according to Google: Thing is not a known valid target type for the itemReviewed property.

    Example here: https://thepoorswiss.com/one-hour-investor-book-review/

    We need to be able to select the type of reviewed item such as Book, Movie, …

    What can I do to fix it?

    Actually, fixing the itemReviewed is only the tip of the iceberg…

    It’s missing many fields:
    * author
    * isbn
    * publisher
    * url

    So, I guess I can give up using reviews with this plugin.

    Thanks a lot for your query and we are so sorry about the trouble this must have caused.

    There have been recent changes made to the rich snippets program by Google.

    Basically, “thing” is no longer accepted as a valid review.

    When you write a book review, please ensure you fill all the details to not see the error you are seeing in the structured data testing tool:

    The image you published is actually for a Book. I want to publish a review of a book. I didn’t see how to combine both data with your plugin. Is there a way with Rank Math to write a Review schema for a Book?

    For now, I wrote manually all the microdata in my post. It’s not that convenient but it works.
