“Reset Options” – Not What It Appears

    Hi there,

    I spent a long time setting up Rank Math for a client. I was working on “post formats” settings, when I realized I’d rather have it as the stock option. So, at the bottom of the page, I clicked “Reset Options”.

    To my dismay it had reset everything I had setup, not just what was on the page.

    In my opinion this is very bad UX design. It falls outside normal convention. Usually, hitting the Reset on a specific page will only reset the options on that page, not every setting that you have saved up until that point. It really does not make sense to have it like that at all.

    There should be a disclaimer warning people of this action. I’m sure I’m one of many poor souls who made this mistake once.

    Now I just wasted a good chunk of billable time to go through and re-check and reconfigure everything for the second time.

    Hello,

    To make everything load fast and work smoothly, all the tabs are loaded when the page loads. That is why hitting the reset button resets all the settings in the panel.

    However, we do see that there is a lot of room for improvement and we will do just that.
