Not even the texts edited in the Snipped Editor can be saved

For initial troubleshooting, please check if you are using a Firewall as it may prevent saving the changes.
If you are using a Firewall, please whitelist this route:
/wp-json/rankmath/v1/updateMeta

thank you very much for the quick feedback! The tip regarding the firewall was pretty good. After hours I discovered that I had manually blocked the REST API in the functions.php for security reasons.
Perhaps my solution will also help you with similar requests: I solved the problem with this little plugin, and it is still possible to block the REST API for external users
