Repeater from Custom Field Suite in SEO description

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Repeater fields work based on the subfield types you are using. Since you are trying this within the SEO description am assuming you created the text subfield type.

Therefore the for it to show the first subfield you have inserted in your post you need to use the custom field variable as: %customfield(field_name_0_subfield_name)%

For to display the second instance of your subfield you should use the variable as:

Note that there is an order to how you display these fields within your SEO description and in this case, the order is defined by the incremental or decremental state from 0 to a No X.

For example, here I have created two subfield types under the brand_desc repeater field type:

Next, I have then defined their values within my post as shown in the screenshot below:

When it comes to setting them to show within the SEO description, I have used the 0 to call the first subfield and it has been displayed in the SEO meta box as shown:

Similarly, we have done the same for the second instance by using 1 to call the second instance of the same subfield:

In case you ish to display the second subfield as well simply switch the subfield_name in the custom field variable.

Hope this helps. In case you have any other questions do let us know.

We really look forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

I tried to use %customfield(field_name_0_subfield_name)% but it’s no use. I tried also %customfield(subfield_name)% and it’s working but only for the first subfield. I’m using CFS plugin for the repeater, and in this plugin the repeater is not called repeater type, but it’s named “loop”. Could it be the problem?

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

Hi, I have added the sensitive data, please use the TVspre custom post type for testing, thanks!

I tried accessing your admin but it redirected me to a 404 page. Could you please share the correct admin link so we can further check this?

We are looking forward to helping you

Sorry, Please check again now, I reverted login url to wp-admin, you can use file manager plugin to go through the files instead of ftp.

Thanks for getting back to us.

Upon further inspection, it seems that the implementation for the repeater fields from CFS is not working with Rank Math. Using the ACF plugin and following the steps mentioned by my colleague in a previous reply the custom field does show the correct values.

Hope this helps clarify your doubts.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.
