Hi, I have some strange behavoir with Rank Math Woocommerce settings.

I have removed the /shop/ URL base prefix with help of Rank Math, so the URL shows like domain.at/category/product. It works flawlessly as log as I dont´t update Rank Math Plugin. After every update of your Plugin it breaks all my product category and product sites (404 error) – they´ve been moved back to domain.at/shop/category/product. Disabling and enabling the function of Rank Math to remove the URL base prefix makes it work again.

I´ve noticed this behavior with the last 2 or 3 updates.

If you need any additional info to help just let me know.

Thank you and kind regards, Martin

  • Hello Martin,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please head over to Rank math > Status & Tools > Version control and roll back to a previous version then update the plugin again and let us know if this replicates the issue.

If you are able to replicate your issue that way, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

We really look forward to helping you.

Hi Michael, I just tried downgrading to different versions and re-updated it afterwards. Everything seems fine after doing that.

Still strange, as I had this beavior several times in thge last few months, and as far as I remember it has always been after an update.

Anyway, I will revert my setting and keep the base URL slug, as I need it for upcoming changes on my website.

    Hello,

In the next update, please enable WP_DEBUG on your site, if its not already enabled and check if there any errors logged on the same.

Do you wish to close this thread in the meantime?

If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
