Removing base, category base and parent slugs breaks the links

Please note that TranslatePress doesn’t support removing the category base, and we don’t have any option in our plugin to force the translation plugin to use the short permalinks.

We have already contacted the TranslatePress team to add the compatibility code in their plugin to fix this particular issue, but haven’t heard back from them.

In this case, you will have to keep the Remove Category Base option disabled to make the categories work in the secondary language.

You can get in touch with TranslatePress and ask them for an update about this issue.

The Remove Category Base option works fine for the categories because the slugs of the product categories are not translated into the secondary language. The URLs without a base will not work in the secondary language if the slug is translated. Since the slugs of products are translated into the secondary language, they don’t work when you enable the Remove Base option.

We are working on a fix for this and you can keep an eye on our changelog to get notified about the latest features and updates.
