The option to remove snippet data removes schema markup(which appears on Google SDTT) from the taxonomy/archive page which is usually generated from the posts in the related archive.

If the news posts don’t show any issues when your tests the URLs on Google SDTT and Rich Results then you can leave the option disabled. But if our news posts have errors or warnings, I’d recommend that you enable the option to remove the snippet to a=keep these issues from adding up on the related tags.
