#797124
  • Hey

I handle the website, which has a pro license.
    I have 2 questions

    about Google Console
I have about 1600 pages that are defined as 404 in Google Console
Your plugin is connected to the Google Console
All these pages are old pages and deleted addresses
These 301 redirects were generated at the time in the Yoast plugin – and was be imported by your plugin.
I would love to know how to remove them

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us. To remove the 404 errors from Google Search Console that are related to old pages and deleted addresses, you can follow these steps:

    1. Navigate to Google Search Console:

      • Log into your Google Search Console.
      • Ensure that the correct variation of your site is selected in the property dropdown menu at the top-left side of the screen.
    2. Navigate to Not Indexed Tab:

      • Go to Indexing → Pages and click the Not indexed tab.
    3. Navigate to Not Found (404) and Soft 404:

      • Scroll down to the Why pages aren’t indexed section.
      • Click on the Not found (404) reasons.
    4. Review and Remove URLs:

      • Review the list of URLs that returned a 404 error.
      • You can copy the URL, open it in a new tab, or inspect it in Google Search Console.

If you have imported 301 redirects from Yoast using our plugin, you can also manage and delete these redirects within Rank Math. You can clear the 404 Monitor in Rank Math by following the steps mentioned in our guide on How to Monitor 404 Errors with Rank Math SEO Plugin.
