    Hi,

I’m using a custom post type called Accommodations (and a taxonomy called Destinations) and I don’t want those single accommodations to be listed in Google. I’ve excluded them from the sitemap but I see a Feed in the <head>, how can I disable it?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

To remove the custom post type from getting indexed, please configure that under WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > Tiles & Meta > Posts (or any other post type).

Scroll down the page to find the Post Robots Meta option. When you enable the option, all Robots Meta options will display underneath. Next, choose the No Index option.

Once done, please click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen to reflect the changes.

To know more about it in detail, please go through the article from our Knowledge Base below:

We hope this information helps. Do let us know how that goes.

We would love to help you further.

    Thank you

Thanks for your help, I will try this one out. Will this have a negative SEO impact on the ‘Destination’ archive page? Since I want this one indexed and not the single posts, please see the sensitive data form for my website. 🙂

    Hello,

Setting the single pages to noindex will not impact the destination archive page if it’s done as soon as the posts are published.

It may have a negative impact if the single pages were previously indexed and ranking high before being set to noindex. In such a case, it could help to determine which content was causing the single post to rank high and replicate it on the archive page.

Hope that clarifies things. Let us know if you have questions. We are here to help.
