Hide Authors with No Posts from Sitemap

    Hi there,
    My website creates an author-sitemap.xml for all of our authors.
    Our website uses Taxonomy “Download” for the products. A custom post type.
    I want to make it so that Authors with No Posts, do not show up on this list.
    Only Authors who have posted Downloads, will actually show.
    Essentially this showing up as “Pages without internal follow links” for search engines.
    Can you please let me know if there is a piece of code I can change to fix/update this?

    ‘hide_empty’ => true,
    is one option

    possibly in the class-rewrite.php file?

    Please help us understand this further, are your authors under a taxonomy type or a post type.

    If it is under taxonomies, have you tried the option to exclude empty terms under Rank math sitemap settings?

    Thanks for your reply

    Our Authors are not under a custom post type or taxonomy.

    All I am looking for is for something along the lines of
    Include Empty Terms = off for the AUTHORS Sitemap

    This way to hide only authors who have no posts
    from the site map

    If you mark the particular author profile as noindex, it will not appear in the sitemap:

    Again, I do not want to turn it off, I do not want to turn off one item at a time.

    PLEASE READ THE POST… I wish to Make AUTHORS WITH NO POSTS NOT SHOW IN THE SITEMAP

    This is now about the 6th time I have messaged for this, and each time you reply with something else that can be done that is not needed.
