Redirections stopped working for non-default WPML languages

  • Hello,

Thank you for getting in touch with us.

Did this happen because of Rank Math?

Have you tried disabling Rank Math temporarily? And if so, do the links start working when Rank Math is enabled?

If so, the first step is to enable the debug mode in Rank Math for redirections so you know which redirect in responsible for the links to not work. You can do that from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections.

Then, you will be able to see an interstitial with “manage this redirect” option from where you can deactivate the redirect added in Rank Math.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Did this happen because of Rank Math? > Yes because RM handles the redirects
Have you tried disabling Rank Math temporarily? > Yes, problem still occurs after activating RM again.
so you know which redirect in responsible for the links to not work > I know which links, I listed a few of them above and BTW debug has been on since we installed this plugin, there is no debug screen visible, just the 404.

So unfortunately none of the above provides a solution. If you need more help understanding the problem, feel free to ask as we feel like you might be looking in another direction.

    Hello,

Sorry for this late reply. Did you already solve it? If not, we could take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.
