Hi,
Just to be clear, redirections in the default WPML language English are still working, however a lot of redirection for the secondary languages Dutch, French and Spanish just end up in a 404 instead of following the redirect.

Hello,
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
Did this happen because of Rank Math?
Have you tried disabling Rank Math temporarily? And if so, do the links start working when Rank Math is enabled?
If so, the first step is to enable the debug mode in Rank Math for redirections so you know which redirect in responsible for the links to not work. You can do that from WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections.
Then, you will be able to see an interstitial with “manage this redirect” option from where you can deactivate the redirect added in Rank Math.
Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.
Did this happen because of Rank Math? > Yes because RM handles the redirects
Have you tried disabling Rank Math temporarily? > Yes, problem still occurs after activating RM again.
so you know which redirect in responsible for the links to not work > I know which links, I listed a few of them above and BTW debug has been on since we installed this plugin, there is no debug screen visible, just the 404.So unfortunately none of the above provides a solution. If you need more help understanding the problem, feel free to ask as we feel like you might be looking in another direction.
Hello,
Sorry for this late reply. Did you already solve it? If not, we could take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Hello,
I have been able to check it and I will submit this to the dev team so they can check it.
Also, about the debug not working, it was because you set the default fallback redirection as the 404 page. If you set it for example to the homepage, the debug redirection is working fine in every redirection.
Looking forward to help you.
Ok, let’s hope dev team comes up with a solution any minute now, it has been more than 2 weeks since we posted this issue and we are still nowhere near a solution!
We notice that the default redirect is (now) set to Homepage, don’t know if you did that or one of the other website users, but for https://connective.eu/es/acerca-de-connective/carreras/research-engineer/ we now see the redirect debug screen, unfortunately the redirect does not work.
Hello,
Yes, I was the one who set it to the Homepage, to allow you to check that the debug redirection was working fine.
About it taking time, I am sorry for that, I will try to make it as fast as possible!
Looking forward to help you.

Hello,
Sorry for not following up quickly and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
Can you please update the plugin to the latest version and see if that thelps?
Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
FINALLY!! 🙂
Now let’s hope we can quickly revert all the damage this bug has caused our website because for the last 6 weeks, Google has been getting 404 instead of 301 on about 150 links, I don’t have to tell you what damage that has caused to our ranking!?
Hello,
If you need further help or with anything else, please open a new support ticket here so we can help.
We are always here for assistance.
