redirections not working and can’t turn the module off

I am having difficulty with redirections. I read the redirection knowledgebase. I checked all of the redirects to make sure they looked okay. I turned on the redirection debugger and when I tested the link, I didn’t see the interstitial (assuming it looks like a pop-up) and the link did not redirect. I disabled any plugins that I thought may have been interfering with yours and tested them again. No change.

So, I went into general settings to try to turn off redirection and the wheel just spins and spins and never turns off. I uninstalled the plugin and reinstalled it, and the behavior hasn’t changed.

Background: I had all of these redirects working perfectly, then I set the site live and now they don’t work. Before I went live, I changed the WordPress Site Address (URL) from whyagain.org/wp/ to whyagain.org. It looks like this caused some new redirects, but I deleted the ones that were causing circular redirects.

I am currently using “Redirects” for my redirects to work. Please do not disable.

I would appreciate any help you can provide. I love the plugin and don’t want to have to use another.
