Was running v126.96.36.199 and got an alert from Google Search Console that there was a redirect issue. Checked it out and there was a redirect that was causing an infinite loop.
Going into the “edit” portion of that particular redirect it had two redirects, first one was fine, but the second was pointing the redirect to itself (redirect to destination url).
Upon checking the other redirections I found several others with similar issues; I have included the .htaccess output in the “Sensitive Data” section.
So I would assume there is some type of bug that happens when you start editing the permalinks multiple times? …shouldn’t there at least be some form of error checking that doesn’t allow redirecting to itself to avoid infinite loop situations?
Thanks a lot.
