Hello,
Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.
The option to open links in a new tab exists only for external links, is this what you are having a problem with? If so, please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section so that we cah check both issues for you.
It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/
You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/
We really look forward to helping you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
Data added.
The link issue was a mistake on my staff end. it works fine 🙂
Hi Ellena,
Thanks for the access.
The redirections on both websites work perfectly when I test the redirected links on a browser.
Would you mind sharing some more info on what is not working for you?
Can you reproduce this from a different browser?
I am looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
Mostly it’s some of the redirected slugs that were changed that were showing up without a redirect. I don’t have a specific urls that were having issues right now. Is the slug/permalink redirected URls having issues?
Hi Elena,
Thanks for the follow up.
If a redirected slug is changed then you have to update the redirection rule to match the source and destination.
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
Can you explain what you mean by that?
From what I understood when you change the slug/permalink of the post, Rank Math automatically creates a redirect from old one to new. Am I wrong?
Hi Elena,
That is right! Rank Math will automatically redirect to the new slug for posts that did not have redirects.
If your post already had a redirect rule on the Rank Math module then you will need to update the redirect with the new rules so that it can take effect on the new post.
I hope this info helps. Thank you.
