Redirecting too many times

    Hey, In one of my published post I edited & changed the headline a bit. So I changed the url slug via rankmath’s – edit snippet area. But editing of slug would cause error on my site right?
    Then, I published my post.

    So while editing my post, I clicked rankmath > Advanced > Redirect > 301 permanent move and got the new link as destination url coz I had changed the heading and slug, then entered the new link in the destination url tab. And I updated my post. But now as I was about to check my link, I clicked on the new link but it says ‘learnblogging101.com redirected you too many times. Try clearing your cookies’ I did that too but it still didn’t work. Please help me out.

    Thank you for contacting us and we regret the inconvenience caused.

    It seems like you’ve redirected the post to itself by adding the new URL in the destination field. When a post is redirected to itself, it gets in a redirection loop.

    Upon changing the slugs, you do not need to specify any URL in the redirect field of the Advanced tab. That field is to be used when the current URL (new) has to be redirected to another URL.

    Please remove the URL from the redirect field and update the post to see if that fixes the issue.

    You can enable the Auto Post Redirect option from Rank Math > General Settings > Redirections, to automatically redirect old URLs to the new ones whenever the slug is modified.
