Redirecting a few posts from old domain to new domain

    Hi there,

I’ve migrated a few posts from one of my domains to a new one. I changed the Permalink in the new one to be shorter.
Now I’m ready to redirect the posts from my old site to the new one. How do I do this with the redirection tool?
    It’s very confusing.

    Thank you,
    Margaret

  • I consider Rank Math an SEO tool rather than a redirection tool.
A plain redirection tool may be more appropriate..?

    Hello Margaret,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

You can only redirect URLs where the source URLs is your domain. The destination can be any URL, internal or external. With this in mind, to redirect your posts from your old domain, you will need to go to your old domain and add redirections for each of the post to their related URLs on the domain. For example:

    Source URL: /old-post-URL
    Destination URL: https://yournewdomain.com/new-post-URL

Hope that helps. If you have any further question(s), please let us know. Thank you.
