The redirection module is part of the Free plugin. If you want to redirect from your subdomain to the main domain then the plugin should be installed on your subdomain. Also, you can’t redirect your homepage URL using our redirection module.
Also, please make sure to enter only the slug(part after the domain name) in the source field as our plugin automatically adds your homepage URL to the source URL.

and I’m redirecting tours, not the homepage.

If you want to redirect the tours page from the sub-domain to the main domain, then assuming the URL of the tours page is https://it.visitmaltatoday.com/tours/, you can create a redirection like this:
Source: /tours/
Type: Exact
Destination: https://visitmaltatoday.com/it_it

The above is just an example and you will need to modify the redirection values as per the requirement and URL.
