    Hello,
I’m here to ask for suggest, because i have an alternate language version of my web site. As i found one of the plugin that is relation with that, i have to decide if delete all actual alternate language pages (which are not too much and not well ranked, so will be not a problem) and use another option for the multilang.

My question is, if i delete all that pages (which are about 50) its ok use a single redirect with the rank math redirection manager for all that pages, or there is another solution?

and, if i set the redirection for all those pages, can i redirect to the main language blog page, or is better redirect to the reffered alternate language page?

    Thanks

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and bringing your concern to our attention. I’m sorry for the delay.

Could you please also share some example URLs you wanted to redirect and the destination URL for us to check further? You can add them in the sensitive data section

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Thank you for the following up.

You can try this regex redirect:

    Source URL: /en/(.*)
    Destination URL: yourdomain.com/$1

I’ve attached a screenshot in the sensitive data section for the exact values.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and looking forward to your update.

    Hi Reinelle,
    What can i say… You’re awesome!
So basically, if i got, by doing this all content that are in the /en/ section will be redirected to… ? I dont think the home page? I think home is not a good idea…what is the right string to use if i choose, for example, to redirect to the /blog/ path?

    Really thanks for your help

    Hello,

    Thanks for the follow-up.

Yes, the regex will redirect the exact same value from the /en/ URL. Here’s an example:

    domain.com/en/post1 -> domain.com/post1

If you wanted to use the blog path, you can add the /blog/ in the destination URL: domain.com/blog/$1

The $1 in regex means it will use/append the exact value of the post/page from the source URL.

I hope that helps. Thank you, and please don’t hesitate to contact us anytime if you need further assistance with anything else.
