I am trying to redirect PDF and PNG’s from an old site over to a new one. However, the redirect seems to be failing depending on the following:
    samplesite.com/test.png (will return Nginx Error)
samplesite.com/test.png/ (will work and redirect properly)

    Redirect rules are set to:
    FROM: /test.png (EXACT)
    TO: newsite.com/test.png

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Could you please check if you have a redirection rule set in WordPress > Rank Math > Redirections?

You may also clear your website cache and see if this resolves the issue.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

    Hello Azib,

RankMath is the only redirection plugin used in our site. As described in the ticket:
    Redirect rules are set to:
    FROM: /test.png (EXACT)
    TO: newsite.com/test.png
    Screenshot of the redirect

We’ve tried cache clearing already as well.

    Hello,

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

Thanks Jeremy, I’ve updated the Sensitive Data with a specific user for RankMath Support.

Please check and provide working login details. You can also use the following plugin to create a temporary login link for us: https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

Hello Jaideep, gone in and create the temp login as suggested.

    Hello,

I was able to replicate the issue on your site. I have forwarded this to our devs to have a closer look. We will get back to you soon with an update.

We really appreciate your patience in the meantime.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

This issue is caused by the Nginx configuration on the server because the call never reaches WordPress or Rank Math since the 404 page served is the default Nginx one.

We would recommend checking the configuration you have for this server, specifically related to files, and find any entries in your server config file that mention 404.html should help you pinpoint where the issue is located.

Don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any other questions.

    Hello,

Since we did not hear back from you for 15 days, we are assuming that you found the solution. We are closing this support ticket.

If you still need assistance or any other help, please feel free to open a new support ticket, and we will be more than happy to assist.

    Thank you.
