Redirect 404 on facebook URL

  • Resolved Kevin

I realized that the redirect I create, when pasted on facebook they open 404 because of the pixel that facebook puts in the links (?fbclid=IwAR2TnQWlGMa_nZ4…) . How to fix this? I’ve already thought of putting the URLs to be containing or starting with, but I’m afraid this will redirect other links that are articles of the site, because they have similar words.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Would you mind editing your first post and adding an example of the URLs containing the pixel on the sensitive data section so that I can advise further?

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.

Practically all the URLs that are configured as “exact” when they are posted on facebook give errors because of the link that facebook puts next to the URL. This on all sites, I think of other alternatives like “contains, start with, end with” but I’m afraid this will affect the articles on my site that start or have the same keyword as the redirects I use for external links.

Sorry if you do not understand, I’m using google translator.

    Hi Kevin,

Please try this and see if it works for you.

    Source URL: https://skdesu.com/luizcanal/?fbclid=
    Redirect type: Starts with

    Target: Your target URL.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

Help yes, but if there is an article on the site called skdesu.com/luiz-canal-review/

How will the plugin react? Will it open the article or the redirected link?

    HI there,

Thanks for getting back to us.

The link skdesu.com/luiz-canal-review/ does not match the parameters of the redirection rule and thus should not be redirected, clicking on it should open the article.

I hope this info helps. Thank you.
