    Hello,

About a month ago I installed your plugin. I am looking at the 404 monitor data and the redirection data. It appears that people are going to URLs on my website and not being redirected. Can you point me in the right direction to get this fixed?

    Thank you,

    Hello,

    Thanks for contacting us.

The Redirection Count displays the total number of redirections created in Rank Math. 0 displayed in the Redirection Count means that you have not yet created any redirections.

On the other hand, Redirection Hits displays the total number of times a user or the bot tried to access a page that you’ve already redirected. In short, Redirection Hits count the total hits in all the redirections that you’ve created.

Could you please confirm whether you’ve already created any redirects in the redirection manager of Rank Math (Rank Math > Redirections)?

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

I have not. When I set up the plugin I was under the impression that the Yoast data and the Redirection data that I had were automatically going to be transferred to Rank Math. Maybe I skipped that part or maybe I am just not sure how to do it? I am not sure what happened.

Thank you for your quick response

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

During the setup process of Rank Math, you get the option to import the data from other plugins like Yoast and Redirections plugin.

However, if you skipped that part, then you can still import the data by activating those plugins and following the below tutorial guides:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/yoast-seo-migration/#using-rank-math-import-export
    https://rankmath.com/kb/import-redirection-plugin-data/

Please ensure to take a complete backup of your website before importing the data.

    Hope that helps.

    Thank you.

    Hi,

It looks like I deleted the Redirection plugin after I installed RankMath but skipped the import step so now the Redirection plugin is gone and I have all of those redirects going nowhere.

That being said what do you recommend would be the best way to get all the redirections pointed somewhere?

    Thank you

    Hello,

    Thanks for your reply.

I’m not sure whether I fully understand the question. But I’ll do my best and please let me know if I misunderstood.

You can create the redirections based on your requirements, like, the redirections can be created for logs in the 404 Monitor, also if you have created an updated post regarding a topic, which was already discussed in an existing post, then in this case you may consider redirecting the previous post to the new one.

The destinations for redirects can depend on the reason why the redirect is being created in the first place. You can redirect the 404 logs to your website’s homepage, but in cases like the above where you’ve created an updated post, the destination of the redirect should be the URL of the updated post.

Please refer to this tutorial guide for more details:

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you.

    Okay,

Here is a snapshot inside of the 404 monitor. So, basically, I would want to redirect everything that shows up in here to another page?

    ads.txt
    contact
    vuln.php
    wpx
    get-listed

    Hello,

Thanks for getting back. Sorry for the delay and any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

You can easily redirect the 404 URLs to another page by clicking the redirect option under the URL. If you want to redirect all the URLs to the same page then you can use the bulk actions to bulk redirect all the URLs.

Please refer to the following guide for detailed instructions: https://rankmath.com/kb/fix-404-errors/

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any further assistance.

No problem. I will check out the article. Thank you for your help..

I do have another question. Is it safe for me to delete the files in red that show up on my 404 monitor? I have highlighted some of the files in question in red.
