    Hi

    This is a follow on from the ticket on the free support by mistake. I have the Pro version of Rank Math.

    The ticket started off:

    have 2 websites where the rank math plugin keeps dropping out of the plugin list within a couple of days and therefore my pro version is not working.

    I can’t install it because I keep getting the error – ” Installation failed: Destination folder already exists.”

    I then have to ask the host to rename the folder and I just don’t want to keep asking them.

    Can you please help me

    I checked your website but could not see Rank Math in the Plugins list. The Rank Math folder may be renamed in your server file structure. For us to investigate further please share the FTP login credentials in the sensitive data area.

    Hello,

    I completely deleted all versions of the Rank Math free plugin that were on your website and did a fresh install. Please note that renaming a plugin folder is a temporary troubleshooting step. If you wish to reinstall a plugin, you need delete existing plugin files as they will conflict with each other, even if the folder is renamed.

    Sincere thanks for your kind and valued help.

    I have another site where the same problem exists. I will follow your advice and delete the relevant folders as I was not aware that renaming the relevant folder was a temporary fix.

    Can you tell me how I recognize the relevant files that need to be deleted as I had the host rename the rank math folders.

    You can delete the seo-by-rank-math and seo-by-rank-math-pro folders under wp-content/plugins and reinstall the plugins.

    If you want us to check, you can share the WordPress and FTP login details of that website.
