Dear Support,

Happy New Year.

I have a problem with my custom posts.

The Description text I add in the Snippet Editor is not showing in the Rank Math SEO Preview.

I also notice that Rank Math is showing all 0 for Analytics in the WP Dashboard. I’ve reconnected but no data seems to be coming through. See this email confirming an issue.
“”Uh-oh
It seems that there are no stats to show right now.
If you can see the site data in your Search Console and Analytics accounts, but not here, then try reconnecting your account and make sure that the correct properties are selected in the Analytics Settings.””

Thanks for contacting us, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that. We deeply apologize for the delay in response.

I tried checking for the meta description preview on your CPT but I was unable to replicate the issue there. Please share a screencast using a tool like loom if the issue persists.

For the analytics issue, please make sure you’ve connected Rank Math with your correct Google account. If so, then I would like to request you to re-connect your Google account with Rank Math by following the steps I’ve mentioned below, without skipping them.

#1 ~ Remove Rank Math’s access from Google

Please remove RankMath’s app from your Google apps permissions:

#2 ~ Re-connect to regenerate auth token from Google

After that, reconnect the Google account again, to regenerate the auth token from Google, by going to WordPress Dashboard > Rank Math > General Settings > Analytics and configure the Search Console and Analytics settings again:

#3 ~ Grant all necessary permissions

Kindly check all necessary checkboxes to allow Rank Math to access some of the Google Services. Please check my screenshot below for reference:

#4 ~ Setup Analytics

Once the above process is done, please follow the URL below to setup Rank Math Analytics properly:

After that, please try fetching data from Google Analytics by following the URL below and wait for a while to see if that works for you:

I think both problems are related i.e. update of description and connection of rankmath.

Rankmath is connecting to WP but still no data after follwoing your instructoin. My Rankmath account is also showing I have 0 AI credits. I just purchased 150 credits which I have used not more than 5 times. so something is wrong with my account to.

Appreciate a further look.

Hello,

Those problems are not related and since our plugin is fully modular, we can isolate the modules from each other.

For the issues with the Analytics, please share the data from the last 30 days coming from your Google Search Console for this property.

As for the description not showing in the preview, that happens on CPTs that don’t include editor support and as such the preview cannot be generated in the back end but all the data will be correctly added to the meta description in the frontend.

In case, I also checked if any payment was made on my paypal (moved to sensitive data section [1]) by mistake but no activity for RankMath listed.

Please proceed with reconnecting your Rank Math account in your website dashboards. You can do that in your WP Dashboard > Rank Math > Dashboard > Help.

Hello,

I’ve checked your site, and the meta description is showing fine upon saving. Please refer to the screencast attached in the sensitive data section for your reference.

The snippet preview will only work if you have editor support but the outputted values will be available on the source code and able to be parsed by Google.

Ok, so the Snippet text is stored in the background. I read about Editor Support and found out that my WordPress template does not support it.

However, this does not explain why RankManth doesn’t recognize the Snippet Text and is showing Error in Meta Description.

Hello,

It seems that Rank Math wasn’t able to see the changes right away.

Please try re-typing the keywords and the meta description and the test should pass after you update the post. Please see my screenshot below:

If the issue persists, please try enabling the editor support for that post type so Rank Math can properly read all the meta entered for that post.

If that doesn’t help, you may safely ignore the test and this shouldn’t affect your overall SEO performance since this is only happening on the backend.
