RankMaths Not Generating Sitemap for Tags

    HHave been having issues with google indexing my tags. Due to the nature of my post, I’ll rather rank tags and categories instead of post.
    I just discovered sitemaps are not generated for tags, but only for posts, pages and categories.

    Have checked and turn the tag index on on. The tag sitemap is tied with post. I tried opening it but it read error.

    How do I create site map for tags? With rankmath

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    If you have checked the “Include in Sitemap” option inside Rank Math > Sitemap Settings > Taxonomies > Tags and sitemap still not showing, then you might need to flush the sitemap cache.

    1. Flush the Sitemap cache by following this video screencast:

    2. Exclude the Sitemap files of the Rank Math plugin in your caching plugin. The cache could be via a plugin or from the server. For plugins or Cloudflare, please follow this article:

    Thanks.

    I was able to flushed it and it worked. The tag was in the format: https://example.com/post_tag-sitemap.xml.
    Though the discovered URL was 201 in google search console.
    Will I have to keep adding it for the tags if it reaches 201.
