Rankmath Sitemap does’t seem to be listing my key category and products

    Rank Math free

Since starting using Rankmath I’ve slowly lost key products off my google search listings that were showing on the 1st and 2nd pages of google search for certain search terms. I have realised various products via my online shop are’t listed via my sitemap aswell, even though the products have been marked to be indexed and have good SEO rankmath scores.

    Google search console states:
20 Pages Crawled – currently not indexed
32 Pages Discovered – currently not indexed

I also don’t seem to be getting indexed for a key product category along with the products within this category.

I’ve already checked to see if my sitemap is being cached and added the code Rankmath recommend via the .htaccess file.

Google search console seems to be reading my sitemap fine and discovery 164pages from my site.
Are there anymore settings I can check to fix the issues I am experiencing?

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting the support, and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

I checked your page and everything seems to be in order. The page is marked as indexed, canonical is present, the robost.txt file is correct and the said page is listed in your sitemap.

Please inspect any of your posts on your Google Search Console and check for a coverage issue so we can identify why Google refuses to index these pages.

Looking forward to hearing back from you.

See screenshot of my google search console: https://ibb.co/sHKyC6M

I’ve gone through all of the issues there and none seem to be anything that serious for google to not be indexing product page and a category page when they were ranking high via google search requests.

    Hello,

Discovered – currently not indexed, and Crawled – currently not indexed pages means that Google has discovered those pages but hasn’t yet decided to crawl or index them. You will need to wait for Google to decide to index them.

However, please note that it is completely up to Google if they want to index or not index your website. So, if you haven’t willingly or accidentally made your posts noindex and Google still isn’t indexing your page – it means that either Google doesn’t want to index or hasn’t crawled your page yet because it hasn’t allocated that much crawl budget to your website.

Please check this website for more details.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you need any other assistance.

I understand google has’t indexed & may take sometime etc, but how can I go from being on the 1st page of google search for certain search terms to suddenly nothing at all being list via google search.

The pages in question were created before I started using Math Rank and were doing fairly with with being listed on the 1st and 2nd page of google searches.

    Hello,

After checking your website and its sitemap, we couldn’t see any errors. So technically speaking, we don’t see anything wrong with the website that could cause the drop of your sitemap coverage.

This issue of yours could be due to Google’s frequent algorithm updates. Algorithm updates tend to affect millions of websites and you as well might be affected by this.

You may give it a couple more weeks or months and see if the stats in your GSC coverage will go back to normal.

I hope this helps you with your situation.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else. Thank you.
