RankMath not saving meta data or keywords

  • Hi, I know this is a common problem and I have tried a number of solutions to fix this issue, but to no avail. I am using RankMath on a setup with theme and plugins similar to other websites, but for some reason, the meta data and keywords will not save. For example, after entering in keywords and saving, then refreshing the page, a red keyword “Invalid” takes it’s place and all the meta data is erased.

  • Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

We might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.
    Sensitive Data Section

It is completely secure and only our support staff has access to that section. If you want, you can use the below plugin to generate a temporary login URL to your website and share that with us instead:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/temporary-login-without-password/

You can use the above plugin in conjunction with the WP Security Audit Log to monitor what changes our staff might make on your website (if any):

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-security-audit-log/

We really look forward to helping you.

    Hello,

I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?

    Thank you.

    Hello,

You didn’t share the site URL so we are not able to log in. Could you check it?

    Looking forward to help you.

I am sorry! The URL is MOVED TO SENSITIVE DATA SECTION

    Hello,

After checking I saw when Rank Math tries to call the WordPress API REST (a POST request) to update the Rank Math metadata inside the post, the server answers with a 403 error.

Could you ask your hosting support to check if something is blocking that request?

    Looking forward to help you.

Ok I will attempt to find out from them. It’s GoDaddy

I figured it out! A plugin on my main domain was blocking the url. Thank you.
