Hello,
We escalated this to the dev team and they will try to debug the situation further and find the culprit of the situation to provide further insights.
In the meantime, if you have any other questions about another topic don’t hesitate to get in touch.
We are here to help!
Hello,
I have logged in to your site and I can see the issue when I turn off the “Cache Logged-in Users” option in the Litespeed Cache settings. I tried a few things to troubleshoot it but I could not find the cause of the slowness yet.
Could you please share the FTP access details of your site (or better yet, of a staging copy of your site where the same issue occres) so we can try some changes in the plugin code?
Thank you. Looking forward to your response.
Hi, Is there any update on this, please?
Hi Team, Did you get a chance to look into it. Any way to disable processing products on home page?
Hello,
I believe our developer is asking for FTP access details of your site or a staging copy of your site where the same issue occurs in the previous reply. So that we can try some changes in the plugin code.
Please add them in the sensitive data section of the first post.
Looking forward to helping you.
Thank you.
Hello,
I have updated the sensitive data as requested. Can you please check further?
Thank you.
I have updated the FTP details in the sensitive data section. Please check and do the needful. Thank you. Please keep us posted on the changes being done.
Hello,
Thank you for sharing the FTP details. I have now identified the cause of the slow loading of your homepage.
It turns out that the issue is caused by the options inside the Image SEO module:
– Add missing ALT attributes
– Add missing TITLE attributes
I have disabled these options and the loading speed of your homepage is back to normal now, even with the cache disabled. Like previously, I have turned off the “Cache Logged-in Users” option, but this time I did not turn it on again, so you can check your site too after logging in.
This is happening because the attribute replacement functions in Rank Math are relatively slow, and one of the posts that appear on your homepage (the contents of which are meant to be processed by these functions) is about 440k characters long and has close to 300 images in it.
I suggest keeping these Image SEO options disabled for now (or disabling the Image SEO module itself). I have taken note of this issue and we will investigate it, to see if there’s anything we can do to avoid increasing the page load in these edge cases.
For your reference, in the troubleshooting process I only edited Rank Math plugin files through FTP, and I have reverted all my changes once I found the cause.
Hope that helps. If there’s anything else, please let us know. Thank you.
Hi,
Thanks so much for troubleshooting the issue. The page is back to normal now.
Highly appreciate your support.
We have enabled back Cache logged-in users after ensuing the fix
One last help. Can you please let know the post that you identified as having 440k characters long and having 300 images in it? We will check and see if it was intentional or unintentional as we do not remember anything so huge.
Thanks once again for your time and support.
Regards,
Murali
Hello,
I have accessed your site one more time to find the post in question, but unfortunately, I could not find it. I wanted to retrieve the ID of the post, which would require some (temporary) changes in the plugin code, but for some reason when I use the FTP to edit the file, the changes don’t get reflected on your site, even when I turned off caching, like before.
You can use a database manager like PhpMyAdmin to find the long post in the wp_posts table. If you don’t know how to do that, your hosting provider might be able to help.
Please note that by post I’m referring to WordPress’s definition of post, i.e. “piece of content” – not necessarily a blog post, it can be of any post type, for example a product or a download. Also note that this post might not appear on your homepage, but it surely gets loaded by WP or a plugin, and gets processed by Rank Math.
Hope that helps.
Hi,
Thanks again. Possibly a git checkout might have run when you were editing the file so it would have replaced or prod code from git.
I ran the below query on our db ->
‘select ID, max(char_length(post_content
)) from wp_posts’
the output was 6, 59065. The post-ID 6 is a contact form and that did not have any images within it.
Could the problem be with the shortcode at the end of our home page that loads all brand logos (Shop By BRAND section at the bottom of our homepage) ?
Regards,
Murali
Yes, that could be it, because Rank Math processes the final contents that includes the output generated by the shortcodes.
You can test it by removing that part from the homepage and then enabling the Image SEO options again.
Hope that helps.
Sure, thanks much for your help. We Will test that out.
Hello,
