Rankmath doesn’t like my titles or descriptions

I’m new to Rankmath, and I’m having a hard time figuring out how it all works. I enter an SEO title for a blog post, and I can even input verbatim the exact same words into the focus keyword field, and it still tells me my focus keyword does not appear in the title.
Same goes for the description. It took my about half an hour to even figure out where to input this stuff. Online help articles have been no help. So maybe I’m not even putting it in in the right place. I don’t know.

Ok, I figured it out. The focus keyword field is case sensitive. I don’t like that personally. When people use search engines they don’t capitalize every letter the way I do a headline, so I don’t think this is accurate. Maybe it doesn’t impact results, but it doesn’t seem like this should be case sensitive.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting Rank Math today.

I am sorry that you could not find enough information to help in figuring out how to use the plugin. We will make some improvements in our online docs.

In regards to the issue, Rank Math currently checks for an exact match of the keyword and hope to make some improvements in future.
Please note that the focus keyword field is only for reference when editing the post and it is not used on the frontend of your site.

Looking forward to helping you. Thank you.
