Rankmath Breadcrumbs Not Displaying

    Hello,
    As of the last my theme shop update and the 5-27 RM update the Rankmath breadcrumb settings no longer take effect (display).

    I have asked MTS Support about it but they redirected me to RM Support.

    I do not understand why I can’t get them to show in place of the MTS Schema Theme breadcrumbs.

    I have never had to enter the php code that is found at the top of the breadcrumbs setting tab of RM because it has always worked as it should without the code for several months.

    I have added the sensitive data to this ticket and would really appreciate it if you could go ahead and login to fix this issue.

    I appreciate any help you can provide.

    Hello,

    Thank you for contacting Rank Math and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    The issue is stemming from the Schema theme, for some reason the conditional to check whether Rank Math is activated is failing silently and falling back to the theme breadcrumbs. I have edited your page.php and single.php files and added a call to the below function within the breadcrumb div to override this behavior:

    rank_math_the_breadcrumbs();

    I will raise this issue with my colleagues from MTS so that this can be fixed in the next update.

    Hi,

    An update has been released for the Schema theme to fix this. Please install the update, then it should correctly load Rank Math’s breadcrumbs when they are enabled in the plugin settings, instead of the theme’s own breadcrumbs.

    Do I need to remove the call function that was added to keep the breadcrumbs function from being called twice to avoid any slower loading times?

    As I await your response I would like to say something

    I’m not one to throw around ‘ataboys or pat folks on the back for doing their jobs.

    However, your support team has gone above and beyond to resolve this issue for me in a timely manner.

    But Rolling out an update to ensure it doesn’t happen again is more than deserving of a pat on the back and my loyalty to this plugin and MTS for the unforseable future.

    So thanks for the help and the outstanding customer service.

    I believe the additional code is not needed anymore, but I can’t say for sure without seeing it. Could you please share the code or tell some details about it?

    it is the fix that was performed by the other RM support technician in this thread. It was added to page.php and single.php

    However there was an update to schema soon after this so I’m pretty sure that it was cleared out being that it was added to the original theme and not the child.

    However, I am not sure if this was something that could have been done to the RM plugin files.

    I am concerned because shortly after this I have lost all of my star ratings in the SERP’s on top of loosing many ranking positions for every listing.

    Hi Jason,

    Thanks for the follow up.

    The changes that I made to the parent have been overwritten in the new theme update and thus you do not need to worry about this.
    Google has recently released an update that might have affected the rankings for your keywords but fluctuations are completely normal. I have also checked your honest programs review and the star ratings are displayed normally does this issue affect another page on your site?
