    Hi there,

I was hoping to get some help with the following.

I am starting a blog using WordPress (Self hosted via AWS) and would like to integrate RankMath into my WordPress Administration Console to report back on Google Analytics. I can see from my Google Analytics platform that I have traffic hitting my site (Users, Event Count, Views). I have tried to connect up RankMath SEO multiple times to my WordPress website and when testing the connection on the analytics side, the test is successful. However, I am not seeing any statistics in the Rank Math overview on the dashboard, or within the plugin. I’ve made sure that I am running the latest version of the plugin, and I have disconnected and re-connected my account multiple times, including completely uninstalling and reinstalling the RankMath SEO plugin, and re-applied the permissions required for RankMath to link with Google Analytics. Every time, the connection is successful. I have ensured that I am using the correct property and data source from Google Analytics, but still am unable to see my statistics.

I’m running out of ideas of other things to troubleshoot this issue and wondered if you had any solutions or advice.

    Thanks

    Ella

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out to us with the issue you are facing while trying to integrate RankMath with Google Analytics 4 on your WordPress website hosted on AWS.

Based on the information provided, it seems like you have followed the correct steps to connect RankMath with your Google Analytics account, and the connection test is successful. However, you are not seeing any statistics in the Rank Math overview on the dashboard or within the plugin despite multiple attempts.

To troubleshoot this issue further, please ensure the following:

    1. Update Rank Math: Make sure you are using the latest version of the Rank Math SEO plugin. If not, update it to the latest version as some features may require the latest updates.

    2. Check Permissions: Double-check that you have granted all the necessary permissions for Rank Math to access your Google Analytics data. Sometimes, missing permissions can cause data not to display correctly.

    3. Verify Property and Data Source: Confirm that you are using the correct property and data source from Google Analytics. Ensure that the property you are trying to connect is the one where your website data is being tracked.

If after checking these points, you still do not see any statistics in Rank Math, please consider the following additional steps:

    • Check for any conflicting plugins that might be affecting the data display.
    • Verify if there are any caching mechanisms in place that could be causing delays in data retrieval.
    • Reach out to your web hosting provider to ensure there are no restrictions on fetching data from Google Analytics.

If the issue persists after trying these steps, please reply to this ticket, and a human agent from our support team will assist you further.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Thank you for contacting us and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

For initial troubleshooting, you can try to follow this guideline and see if that works for you: https://rankmath.com/kb/delete-old-analytics-data/

If the issue persists, please follow the steps below to create a troubleshooting log so that we can check the issue further for you.

    1. At first add the following filter to your website:

    add_filter( 'rank_math/analytics/log_response', '__return_true' );

Here is a guide you can follow to add the filter:
    https://rankmath.com/kb/wordpress-hooks-actions-filters/

    2. After adding the filter, please run the pending Scheduled Action from your WordPress Dashboard > Tools > Scheduled Actions > Pending  or you can try visiting the following URL:

    https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/tools.php?page=action-scheduler&status=pending

This is how it should look like:

When some actions have completed running, please check the Analytics log under wp-content/uploads/rank-math and share that with us. You can upload the log file using this tool.

Let us know how it goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Thank you.

    Hi Rakibuzzaman,

Thank you for the quick response and suggestions on fixing the issues I’m experiencing! Unfortunately after trying these troubleshooting tips, this has not fixed my issues. I’ve attached a WeTransfer link to the Sensitive Data section of this response. This will contain a debug output from the analytics side, along with some screengrabs of the configuration on the Google and RankMath side.

For reference, in the debug output, I did the following:

(Prior to debug) – Disconnected Analytics, Deleted Data from Analytics, removed permissions from Google Third Party side.
    Reconnected RankMath (successful)
Applied data source, properties etc. within RankMath configuration (successful)
    Checked dashboard output (still 0)
    Updated data manually (successful)
Checked pending scheduled tasks to ensure all RankMath tasks had been run and completed OK (successful)
    Checked dashboard output (still 0)

Please let me know if there’s anything else you require. Look forward to hearing back from you!

    Thanks

    Hi Jaideep,

I’ve attached the WeTransfer link in the sensitive data for the GSC performance dashboard.

Please let me know if you require anything else.

    Thanks

    Hello,

I can check that there is very little data in your GSC account and it can’t be fetched via API. Please wait for your site to get more impressions and clicks in Google Search and once there are enough stats, our plugin will fetch and display them in the Analytics Dashboard.

Hope that helps and please do not hesitate to let us know if you need our assistance with anything else.

    Hi Jaideep,

    Thanks for your reply.

What is the minimum threshold for when the RankMath API can fetch the data from my Google Analytics Dashboard and display this within RankMath on my WordPress Admin? Just so I know if the issue persists after the statistics have exceeded this threshold, to contact your team again.

    Thanks

    Ella

    Hello,

Please note that there is no minimum threshold of data required for our plugin to fetch data from Google Analytics. Our plugin is designed to retrieve data from Google Analytics with utmost accuracy, and it does so without requiring any specific minimum threshold of data. Whether your website generates a high volume of traffic or receives only a few visitors, our plugin can seamlessly fetch the necessary data without any issues.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

    Thank you.

    Hi Adetayo,

Thanks for the response and clarification.

However, this goes against the previous comment by Jaideep “I can check that there is very little data in your GSC account and it can’t be fetched via API. Please wait for your site to get more impressions and clicks in Google Search and once there are enough stats, our plugin will fetch and display them in the Analytics Dashboard.”

Your comment states “Our plugin is designed to retrieve data from Google Analytics with utmost accuracy, and it does so without requiring any specific minimum threshold of data. Whether your website generates a high volume of traffic or receives only a few visitors, our plugin can seamlessly fetch the necessary data without any issues.”

I would agree with your statement, as typically API integrations do not have a minimum threshold for traffic and has very little overhead to fetch data.

I’d be grateful if someone could please clarify this for me, as I am still not seeing traffic hitting my RankMath dashboard, despite going through the troubleshooting recommendations, providing debugs, and screengrabs of my Google Analytics statistics.

    Thanks

    Ella

    Hello,

We deeply apologize for the unexpected delay in response and the confusion above.

Please note that Rank Math fetches the data from Google’s APIs and when you have a very small amount of data it can not be fetched. Unfortunately, there is no specific number for this as it depends on Google’s API.

Also, Rank Math does not store the data related to keywords ranked for positions 100 and higher. Consequently, the clicks/impressions/CTR associated with those keywords won’t be recorded either.

That’s why we are suggesting you wait a while to gain some more impressions and clicks so that Rank Math can fetch the data from the API.

If the issue persists, then we might need to take a closer look at the settings. Please edit the first post on this ticket and include your WordPress & FTP logins in the designated Sensitive Data section.

Please do take a complete backup of your website before sharing the information with us.

    Hi Rakibuzzaman,

Please accept my apologies for the delay.

Thank you for the clarification on this. What I will do is ask if you can close this ticket for now, and I will monitor my website, whilst it has more traffic hit over the next few months. If I see traffic hitting and Rankmath does not update, then I will re-open this ticket if this is ok.

    Thanks again
